The Bulletin
The front of the book — short items, thin rules, the things the Cove needs to know this week.
Tide charts. The weekend's low tides fall around 5:40 a.m. — early, but the flats are walkable for the faithful. Mind the channel markers the Bay rearranged last spring.
Pump-out. The mobile pump-out boat resumes its Tuesday-and-Friday rounds of the Cove on schedule. Hail on VHF 9, or leave word with the dockmaster.
Composting. The community bins move to the upper lot for the season. No bags, no plastic — the Cove keeps its own compost, and the herons appreciate the courtesy.
Lantern walk. The autumn lantern walk returns to the shore path. Bring a lantern, a neighbor, and the understanding that this is a walking event, not a standing-around one.
Roadwork. Rumstick Neck Point gets a fresh coat of chip seal after Labor Day. Expect brief delays and one neighbor's entirely-too-firm opinion about the schedule.
