How to apply

  1. 01Request an invitation with your name, email, and Cove address.
  2. 02A current Neighbor vouches for you — the Society can help make the introduction.
  3. 03We verify residency (a deed, lease, or utility bill at a Cove address).
  4. 04The welcome note arrives by email, and the Cove opens to you.

A short Q&A

Q. Who can become a Neighbor?

A. Residents of the Smith Cove community on the Rumstick Neck peninsula. The Society verifies residency before granting access — a deed, a lease, or a utility bill in the applicant's name at a Cove address.

Q. How long does verification take?

A. A few days, usually. A Neighbor vouches for you, the Society confirms the address, and the welcome note arrives by email. We move at the speed of the Cove, which is not the speed of the internet.

Q. What does it cost?

A. Nothing, for now. The Society is a neighbors' society, not a subscription. If the day comes that it costs something to run, the Cove will decide that together.

Q. What if I'm not a resident but I'd like to give to a cause?

A. Charitable Causes stays open to the public — give anytime, no membership required. The rest of the Cove is for the people who live in it.
